Hans Christian Andersen is known as the father of the modern fairy tale. Only 12 of his 156 stories are built on folk traditions. The rest are influenced by his personal experience and are fully copyrighted.
The writer chooses to remain true to himself and chooses writing over family and love. By his last day he presents reality simply and clearly in childhood.
