Astrid Lindgren (1907 - 2002) wrote three novels about redheaded Pippi: "Pippy Long Sock" (1945), "Pippy gets on the ship" (1946) and "Pippy in the South Seas" (1948).
In 1968, a book entitled Pippy Long Sock appeared in Bulgarian.
It includes some of the stories about Pippi from the three novels as well as the following editions. More specifically - 24 of the total of 32 chapters.
So nearly a third of the stories about the redheaded girl remain unknown to our reader. In this edition in collected the whole trilogy about Pippi.
"I want to write about readers with imagination. Kids are such readers. When they read, they create miracles, which is why they need books."
