Paperblanks Notebook Rose Chronicles, Ultra, soft cover, 88 sheets

The inspiration for this cover of Paper Blancs comes from an atelier serving the French royal court. The original was created at the time when the Italian Renaissance began to replace its darker predecessor, the Gothic style, and the binders adopted techniques that would allow them to decorate the cover of books in more plentiful ways, using richly decorated patterns and gilded details. Books were expensive and as such have been associated with luxury and status . This encourages bookmakers to make even more extravagant bindings.
The name Rose Pink is not only a description of the color of this cover, but also pays tribute to the French origins of the design (the rosy is the French word for pink).
