Playing an expensive binding of a book made in Amsterdam in 1835 by Friedrich V. J. K. Kolb, the Asterales series notes the harmony between art and science. goat's skin, and the book contained Latin physiology of plants by the famous Dutch botanist Willem Hendrik de Vrieze (1806-1862). He was a member of the Royal Dutch Institute of Sciences, Literature and Fine Arts and during his studies gave the names of many species of plants from the Asterides order (Asterales).
