- Paperblanks Notebook Natsu, Mini, ruled, hard cover, 88 sheets
Description
The complex details with spring-summer flowers impress in this design, inspired by Japanese artist Vatanabe Shiko (1683-1755), who paints in the unique Rinpa style (and who is said to have been a ronin!). Beautiful gold accents make up every complex part of the leaves and flowers in this rich and romantic composition.
Rinpa is a leading historical school in Japanese painting, created in the 17th century in Kyoto for painting on screens, windshields, hanging scrolls and kimonos. The design of the cover of this notebook shows a part of a screen with different kinds of flowers, which are believed to follow the ancient Japanese language of flowers called Hanacoba. The flowers were used for flowering. The original work is part of the Museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Oxford.Number of pages: 176.
