The design of the Maya Blue notebook is based on a metal binding in which Paradisegartlein (Paradise Garden) of Johann Arndt was originally published for the first time in 1612 as a response to the Reformations of Martin Luther. The cover of this edition of 1697 was created in Strasbourg, France.
