The eternal attractiveness of floral design is caught in the work of Irish illustrator William Kilburn.
The artist behind William Curtis' book on the Flora Londinensis botanical, Kilburn, was also a designer and printer on calico textiles.
His motives with algae are so emblematic that he gives a dress after the model of Queen Charlotte!
