This design was inspired by a 17th century binding in which Bustan was originally (known in English as the Orchard) by the Persian poet Saadi.
Written entirely in verses, the stories are morally rich. The complex botanical patterns of this design beautifully reflect the fruits of Saadi's wisdom.
