Angel Karaliychev (1902-1972) was born in the town of Strazhitsa. He graduated from the diplomatic department of the Free University in Sofia in 1928. For more than forty years he wrote stories, fairy tales and stories about children. Among his most famous books are the collections of fairy tales: "Faithful World" (1929-1930), "Bulgarian Folk Tales" (1948) and the posters "Annette" (1938) and "Toshko African" (1940).
