Gena lives in a small home and works at the zoo as a... crocodile. He is very serious, accurate and responsible and likes to read serious books: reference books, textbooks or train schedules.
Once he decides to change his way of life, he realizes it's boring to live without friends, and he postes all over town ads, so he gets to know and befriend Cheburaska and other lonely residents of the city.
