The Story of Doctor Dolittle, Hugh Lofting

Dr. Doolittle is a good-natured doctor who knows the language of animals and always helps them in distress, and one day he gets a message that monkeys in Africa are suffering from an unknown disease, and the doctor immediately heads to the distant continent, where he's expecting many adventures.
