The Wonderful Adventures of Nils Holgersson Through Sweden

Nils Holgersson's wonderful journey through Sweden is a children's novel by Swedish writer Selma Camploff.

The little boy Nils Holgersson turns into a dwarf and flies over the back of a big goose from Skone to Lapland and back. On his way to Lapland, the flock flies over the coast of the Gulf of Botnika, and on the way back through the interior of Sweden, Niels sees all the provinces of his country, experiences fantastic adventures and learns many things about culture and the history of every province.

Selma Camploff was born in West Sweden in 1858. She graduated from the Royal College for Teacher Training. She was the author of more than thirty books. In 1909 she was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
