I’m as Crazy as You Are (book)

It's not an easy year for Darren, and his parents are getting divorced right when his older brother Nate goes to college, and his long-time boyfriend moves to another town, and he still doesn't have a boyfriend.

One morning Darren's dad shows up with a doughnut with chocolate frosting and a confession that turns the boy's world upside down. Darren seems to go crazy and start doing things that no one expects of him -- dumps school and goes to his brother's house. After less than twenty-four hours at Nate's college, things aren't the same -- are they? The only thing that's certain is that no member of his family is the same anymore, and on top of that, he's obsessed with a strange girl who shows up out of the blue and then disappears without a trace.
