It can be removed without difficulty and re-stitched. The blue hue has always caused fascination from the time of the old masters. leaves a much blacker line. The compressed charcoal in pencil /combined charcoal and clay/ has a saturated black color, deep tones and can be produced to various degrees of hardness.
