They all look like old books and diaries. Thanks to some of the most advanced printing techniques, create the sense of great value and recreate the craftsmanship and materials of another era.
This magnificent design was inspired by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, a world-famous British bookmaker known mostly for the gem-decorated cover of Omar Hayam's Rubayat. It was created in London in 1901 and quickly became one of the most important bookmakers of the 20th century. It is famous with luxurious covers, with added elements of true gold and precious stones.
The original cover of this notebook was made in 1922, to accommodate the poem of Rudyard Kipling "Recessional" from 1897. It was written specifically for the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria. The original cover includes real turquoise, aquamarine and ruby gemstones, plus additional elements in medieval style by Alberto Sangorski and gold elements by George Sutcliffe.
